National Council of Substance Abuse (NCSA)
2010
Description
The NCSA is the government of Barbados' anti-drug entity. I have been working with the NCSA since 2002 on various projects to help educate the public of Barbados about the evils of drug and substance addiction.
Fields
Graphic Design, Print Design
  • Excerpts from the 2010 NCSA calendar. Photography was provided by the NCSA, but concept, design and layout handled by me personally.
  • Series of press ads to promote the NCSA's "Know the Facts, Make the Choice" campaign.
  • Banner to promote the NCSA's theme for Drug Awareness Month 2009: 'My Life. My Body. No Place for Drugs.' Banner was erected at several primary schools and health clinics throughout the island of Barbados, and despite being done in January 2009, such is the strength of the banner that the NCSA are still displaying them throughout the island.
  • Design for a book-cover aimed at encouraging secondary school (high school) students to enjoy the best that life has to offer by remaining drug-free. Cover was printed and distributed to the respective schools.
  • Spot-colour press ad for the NCSA. This was an adaptation of a previous campaign I had developed for them, entitled 'The Anti-Drug.'
  • Two-colour press ad for the NCSA to celebrate World Aids Day 2008.
